Los Angeles Waterworks DSTRCTS

With one of its locations in Malibu, Calif., Los Angeles County Waterworks Districts works to provide safe drinking water to the residents of Los Angeles County, Calif.. It conducts water quality analysis that includes the detection of bacteria and disinfectant levels. The district purchases water from the West Basin Municipal Water District, as well as conducts water treatment tests, including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation and filtration. It also provides information on water conservation. Los Angeles County Waterworks Districts is operated by The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works. The Department of Public Works is responsible for the construction, renovation and operation of city facilities. It builds streets, sewers, storm drains, public buildings and service facilities. The department employs more than 5,000 people who design and execute various public projects, including sidewalks, bridges, wastewater treatment plants and libraries.
