Los Angeles County Sheriff

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is one of the largest sheriff's departments in the world. It offers policing, law enforcement and crime prevention services. The department prevents crime and injustice, enforces laws and defends civil rights, as well as ensures safety among the community residents. In addition, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department counters racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, homophobia and bigotry in all forms. The department operates detective, homeland security, administrative and correctional services, and custody and field operations divisions. It also organizes community and law enforcement partnership and civilian voluntary application programs. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department maintains an office in Pico Rivera, Calif.
