Located in Norwalk, Calif., Los Alisos Middle School is spread over an area of more than 19 acres. It serves nearly 1,000 students in grades six through eight. The school s core curriculum includes language arts, math, science and social studies. The school also offers special education and gifted and talented programs. Established in 1953, the school provides a range of opportunities for parent involvement. It operates a parent-teacher association that raises funds for field trips, reward assemblies and other school projects. The school also conducts parent workshops in English and Spanish. Its other extracurricular activities include cheerleading, drama and yearbook club. Additionally, Los Alisos Middle School offers various staff development opportunities.
