Little Sunshine House

History

Little Sunshine House was opened by Gerry Evans and Nina Betonte in 2007. Ms. Elvira Quintana is the current program coordinator at our 1814 7th Street location. As program coordinator she brings together, families children and educators in a space that truly honors each child. Little Sunshine House is excited to announce a second location at 4111 Katella in the city of Los Alamitos. This program will have an Infant (opening December) and Toddler component, as well as, a Pre-school.

Specialties

At Little Sunshine House CDC we are here to provide the best care and early education for young children. We draw inspiration from the Reggio approach, as well as, from current research. Our curriculum develops around the interest of the children. In this way we can provide opportunities for learning that are meaningful. It is our desire to provide a balance of intellectual stimulation, emotional support and physical nurturance for your child. While it may look like 'play' it is our philosophy that experimentation, exploration and questioning are the natural mode of learning for the young child. In play the mind is always busy.
