History

Launched in 2016, Little Llama Peruvian Tacos is the brainchild and passion project from Chef Jean Valcarcel who started his culinary career at Ricardo Zarate's late, great temple to Peruvian cuisine Mo Chica. In November 2016, Chef Jean scored a coveted slot at the West Coast Smorgasburg Sunday food festival and Little Llama has been one of its most popular vendors since. Now his very first brick-and-mortar location at 222 S. Main Street in DTLA is finally open for business, complete with two outdoor seating patios, take out and delivery options and a wide range of beer and wine libations, for those who imbibe when they taco!

Specialties

Little Llama Peruvian Tacos serves up classic Peruvian flavors with an Angelino twist. Try our Pollo A La Brasa Tacos, Lomo Saltado Burritos, and Shrimp Ceviche Tostadas. We make everything from scratch using the freshest ingredients available. And our made-to-order, hand-pressed corn tortillas are made with organic, non GMO, fresh masa.
