History
After graduating with my Master's Degree from the University of Michigan, I started at the UCSF Institute on Aging at the R.A. Rosenberg Adult Day Health Center and Mount Zion Hospital and Medical Center in San Francisco. I moved to Palo Alto and began work at the Stanford Medical Center, Rosener House Adult Day Care in Menlo Park and I also began my private practice providing therapy at the client's location.
Specialties
I specialize in communication disorders related to aging or brain injury such as Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's, stroke, traumatic brain injury, aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, dysphagia, or other cognitive disorders which impact one's ability to speak, think or swallow. Speech and language therapy can enhance the quality of life at any point in time by improving communication with loved ones. A swallowing evaluation may also enable the patient to enjoy the simple pleasure of familiar foods by mouth. I live in Palo Alto and treat patients at their location within a reasonable drive time around Stanford Medical Center. Please refer to my website for my service area.
