Lincoln Unified School District

The Lincoln Unified School District enrolls more than 8,500 students in kindergarten through grade 12 on a traditional schedule. It operates a magnet arts school, Don Riggio School, which emphasizes instruction in fine arts. The district also offers an alternative high school and independent learning programs. Its schools curricula include several subjects, such as social studies, foreign languages, mathematics, science, physical education and language arts. The district involves students in an artists-in-residence program, accelerated classes, cluster groups, seminars, extension activities, multimedia productions, student clubs and other special projects. In addition, it provides professional development opportunities for teachers, classified employees and administrators. The Lincoln Unified School District is located in Stockton, Calif.
