Elinor Lincoln Hickey Jr./Sr. High School, a community school operated by the Sacramento County Office of Education, was re-named in honor of Sacramento County Board Trustee and lifelong Sacramento educator Elinor L. Hickey in 2005. (The school was originally named Palmiter Community School.)
