Lea Oliver Piano Studio

History

I recently retired as Director of Keyboard Studies at the Hamilton High School Academy of Music. Since then I have been accepting a limited number of private students.

Specialties

At the Hamilton High School Academy of Music I taught 7 levels of piano from beginners to advanced performers. I developed the standards and curriculum for all Piano Classes in the Los Angeles Unified School District. I am on the board of directors of the West Valley chapter of Music Teacher's Association of California (MTAC). Prior to this I was a conductor and/or pianist for many musicals on Broadway and touring companies. I have a Masters Degree in Piano Performance from Yale University School of Music, and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Hartt College of Music of the University of Hartford. I have been on the faculty of City University of New York as well as a number of conservatories.
