History

I started my private practice as a patent agent, just after completing law school. I had spent the previous 4 years as the in-house IP manager working with our outside patent attorneys on preparing and prosecuting new patents and studying competitor patents and applications. For the last 12 years I have been the part time in house patent counsel for a major manufacturer, with responsibility for developing and managing a WW patent and trademark portfolio.

As a registered patent attorney, I represent clients in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, including PCT international patent applications before the US Patent and Trademark Office. I also provide related research and advice to help clients avoid infringing valid patents, and can provide written opinions on infringement and validity. My practice also includes post-grant proceedings, copyright registration, trade secret matters and structuring licensing transactions. I also advise and represent a wide variety of clients and business entities in developing, clearing and registering trademarks.
