Laura Canellias, also known as LA's Salsa Diva, is a highly acclaimed salsa instructor with over 35 years of experience teaching and performing in Los Angeles. She has received numerous awards and accolades, including being the first woman ever to be inducted into the Salsa Hall of Fame. Laura currently teaches private lessons and classes at By Your Side Dance Studio in Culver City and Marina Del Rey.
With her extensive skills and expertise, Laura has traveled across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Europe, Japan, and Asia, spreading her passion for salsa. She has also been an adjunct faculty member at Santa Monica College for 22 years and has taught at CSULA and Loyola Marymount University. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Laura continues to teach, choreograph, judge, and perform, bringing the joy of salsa to dancers of all levels.
