Larry Bell Venice Studio Annex

Larry Bell Venice Studio Annex, located in Venice, California, is a creative space where renowned artist Larry Bell has developed his unique artistic vision since 1966. Originally housed in a historic building on Market Street, the studio features a large vacuum evaporation system known as the Tank, which allows Bell to apply thin films to expansive glass works.

After relocating to Taos, New Mexico, in the 1970s, Bell returned to Venice in 2002 to establish a more visible presence for his art. The current studio, situated in a repurposed Christian Science Church, provides an expansive area for Bell to create and showcase his innovative collage works, known as Church Studies.
