Lao Family Community Development

Lao Family Community Development is a nonprofit organization that offers a range of programs to provide assistance for Southeast Asian refugee and immigrant communities. It also assists various other low income communities to adapt to life in the United States and to achieve social and economic self-sufficiency. Lao Family Community Development s programs include citizenship, English literacy training, youth leadership and training and refugee healthy marriage programs. The department additionally offers crime victim assistance programs. It is a multilingual home ownership center certified by the U.S . Department of Housing and Urban Development. With one of its locations in Oakland, Calif., Lao Family Community Development maintains offices in San Pablo and Sacramento, Calif.
