Lake Isabella (formerly, Isabella and Kernvale) is a census-designated place (CDP) in the southern Sierra Nevadas, in Kern County, California, United States, located near Lake Isabella. Lake Isabella is located 35 miles (56 km) east-northeast of Bakersfield, at an elevation of 2513 feet (766 m). The population was 3,466 at the 2010 census, up from 3,315 at the 2000 census.
