La Scuola International School

History

La Scuola has been in operation since 2002 at our Dogpatch PreSchool Campus. La Scuola grew from what began as a small playgroup as way for Italian language and culture to remain part of the lives of families now living in San Francisco. Over time we have taken that inspiration and celebration of language, culture and connectivity- beyond Italian to being open to and connected with the world.

We have our preschool campus located in the Dogpatch neigborhood of San Francisco with our Elementary school in Hayes Valley and our Middle School in the Mission. La Scuola's vibrant and diverse international community inspires critical thinking, creative expression and fosters lifelong passion for learning. At La Scuola, we educate the whole child - intellectually, physically and emotionally - in a joyful and beautiful environment. We believe that children learn through meaningful experiences and exploration of the world around them. Our students are the protagonists in their own learning and we nurture their ability to learn across languages, across cultures, and across subjects. Our mission is to inspire brave learners to shape the future. We empower children to develop a life-long love of learning and become world citizens who care about their local and global communities.
