Tyler Ann Bodywork provides clinical and therapeutic massage to those suffering from chronic pain or dealing with past and present injuries in an environment built on trust and professionalism. Virtually all of us have muscle tension and old injuries that can cause pain later in life. I'm here to assess your soft tissues and help you manage that pain. I utilize physical therapy assessment techniques and evidence-based neuromuscular and myofascial bodywork techniques to relieve pain, increase mobility, and educate you on how to have lasting effects after the session is over. I work with other health care professionals (your MD, Chiropractor, Physical Therapist, etc.) when applicable to collaborate and create the most effective treatment plan possible. I pull from a wide variety of science-based massage modalities. Neuromuscular therapy (NMT) is aimed at reducing muscle tension and spasm that causes pain and restricts range of motion. NMT broadly includes trigger point therapy, positional release and proprioceptive techniques and was developed using muscle physiology (including sensory and motor nerve function) and reflex activity as a foundation. I also utilize fascial release techniques, Swedish and deep tissue massage, and targeted stretching in order to address each individual with a personalized plan for holistic pain management.
