Norman, Fox & Co. was formed in 1971 as a partnership between Herb Norman and the late Fred Fox. Norman and Fox worked many years for the 'Chemicals for Industry' division of Swift & Company (later Esmark). They started Norman, Fox & Co. when Esmark discontinued the division following severe labor and operating difficulties at the major production facility in Hammond, Ind.
