Established in 1938, Koret designs and manufactures apparel for women. Kellwood Company acquired the previously family owned Koret in 1999. Apart from delivering coordinated skirts and sweaters, the company produces a range of casual and comfortable sportswear in easy-care fabrics for misses , women s and petite sizes. The company markets its clothes under the brand names City Blues and Francisca. In 1961, the brand became the first ladies apparel manufacturer to develop wrinkle-free garments using the post-cure process. The firm s clothes are machine-washable and its pants are available in regular and proportioned lengths. Koret has partnered with DuPont Teflon to produce stain-resistant finish on its garments.
