Kids Knitwork

History

Kids Knitwork was created as a result of a great success of Fun With Yarn knitting enrichment classes taught by Larisa at Burlingame schools. Kids Knitwork taught the hip and useful skill of knitting to kids ages 5+ from all over the Bay Area - from San Francisco to Palo Alto. After moving to Mercer Island for her husband's job, Larisa is eager to spread the love of knitting throughout the Seattle Area. Mercer Island is centrally located and easily accessible from Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Issaquah, and beyond. Knitting is recognized for improving kids' concentration, dexterity and math skills, while building their confidence and healthy self-esteem. At Kids Knitwork children work on projects that they can wear (hats, scarves, purses, fingerless gloves, hair accessories, etc.,) use to decorate their rooms (pillows, blankets, rugs,) and give as gifts to their friends, teachers, and family
