Kevin Lance Jones, OMD, LAc, offers holistic care that incorporates acupuncture, nutritional management, herbal medicine, Qigong, and therapeutic exercises at his private practice in Torrance, California. Hes guided by a firm belief in giving each patient the time and attention they deserve and dedicated to creating individualized care that balances your energy and heals your physical, mental, and spiritual problems.Dr. Jones completed his medical education at California Acupuncture College, where he graduated as valedictorian. He then went on to study at the famous Beijing Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, where he was the class representative and key speaker at graduation.As a post-graduate, Dr. Jones continued studying at the Beijing Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where he received training from the most renowned practitioners in the field. He then relocated to Lyon, France, where he was honored to study with the father of auriculotherapy, Dr. Paul Nogier. To this day, he still uses the methods he learned from Dr. Nogier. To round out his extensive training, Dr. Jones studied with the well-known Dr. Wu Wei-ping in Taipei, Taiwan.Dr. Jones has extensive teaching experience at numerous prestigious universities in China. Before moving to Beijing, he also taught at the California Acupuncture College in Los Angeles and the Emperors College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California, where he served as an Associate Professor and Vice Chair of the Acupuncture Department. He had the honor of teaching courses such as acupuncture anatomy, scalp acupuncture, and acupuncture point location.He maintains active membership in the National Guild of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and has received numerous honors and awards, including the Gold Award for Research from the American Chinese Medical Association and a Certificate of Commendation from the China Acupuncture Association.Dr. Jones is married and has two children who lived with him in Beijing. His wife graduated from the renowned Beijing University of Foreign Studies with a bachelors degree in English translation. He spends his free time volunteering at his church, Eckankar, and going on day trips with his family to the many interesting places in Southern California.As an enamored student of foreign languages, Dr. Jones speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and conversational Spanish.
