The Kern County Human Services Department provides a variety of human services programs and assistance to the residents of Kern County, located in California. Services include safety net programs, CalWORKs, prevention and community partnerships, adoption services, children s services and foster family resources. Safety net programs include food stamps, medical assistance, general assistance, education assistance and California health care options.
