History
I earned a Bachelors of Arts from UC Berkeley's College of Environmental Design. I took several fine arts and design courses, but managed to avoid taking a single photography course, while spending most of my free time photographing my peers. My background in art and architecture certainly informs my photography, but I am primarily self-taught. After graduating college, while applying to design positions, I told my cousin I really just wanted to take photos. He introduced me to a professional wedding photographer who mentored me as an intern until I started my own business.
