JusticeLA is a grassroots organization established in the Fall of 2017, dedicated to advocacy for families impacted by the extensive incarceration system in Los Angeles County. The organization aims to reduce incarceration by halting jail expansion and shifting financial resources towards community-based care systems.

Through collaboration with impacted communities and various stakeholders, JusticeLA has successfully halted a $3.5 billion jail expansion plan and spearheaded the creation of the Alternatives to Incarceration Workgroup report. Their mission focuses on promoting reform and advocating for legislative changes to support decarceration efforts in the region.
