Our preschool has a unique Chinese immersion program that teaches children Cantonese and Mandarin. Living in San Francisco, a majority of our Chinese community speaks Cantonese, but the more widely spoken language is Mandarin. Instead of making this program 50% Chinese and English. We decided to create a program that is 100% Chinese, 50% Cantonese and 50% Mandarin. Children will learn English their whole life, but learning another language is can be difficult. Children under the age of 10 years old can learn many languages. Their brains soaks up the knowledge.
