History

Before I became a chiropractor I thought about becoming a dentist. However, in about 1987 I threw out my low back while hugging my then-girlfriend and extending at my low back lifting her just a couple of inches off the floor. All of a sudden my low back went crazy and I was in extreme pain. I couldn't breathe right and I was hunched over at 90 degrees. I took some over-the-counter pain killers for a couple of weeks which only helped a little bit. I then saw my family M.D. who took about six x-rays of varying angles, but he didn't find anything wrong. Anyway, with time, the pain subsided a little bit, but anytime I made a sudden movement, I'd feel a sharp pain and I'd be back at square one. Finally, I begged my dad to let me go to the chiropractor my aforementioned girlfriend was going to for treatment of injuries resulting from an auto-accident. He was helping her so I was hoping he could help me. After one adjustment I was symptom-free, and that's what made me become a chiropractor.
