History
Joymode was founded in the summer of 2015 during an epic heatwave. Based in downtown Los Angeles, we work and play in a Willy Wonka-esque warehouse filled with giant Jenga sets, old-fashioned popcorn machines and movie projectors, camping gear, pool floats, and stand-up paddle boards. Joymode's goal is to help create a world where what you do isn't limited by what you own. We want to be defined by our experiences, not our possessions. We believe that ownership shouldn't be a limitation of what you can do. We want people to have happier lives, ones filled with unique experiences shared with our friends and family, that don't require buying more things. Joymode lets you access everything you need--but don't own--for great experiences.
Specialties
Want to go camping for the weekend? Want to host a backyard movie night or homemade pasta dinner with friends? Want to try Oculus Rift and new tech gadgets at home? Joymode brings you all the things you need, but don't need to own, for amazing experiences. It's easy to do more and own less with us. Own the experience, not the stuff. Be among the first in LA to live in Joymode. Head to our site or check out our iPhone app!

The one con that I have is that they didn't deliver and pick up in my area. I'm hoping this will change. But to pick up/drop off from their downtown LA location isn't hard... I just hate fighting...
So, I used to love Joymode. I still think it's a great idea...but lately I'm starting to wonder if they are beginning to suffer from the startup slide. Great idea, followed by a too-quick...
