Joy is a laid-back dining spot nestled in the heart of Highland Park, Los Angeles. Specializing in authentic Taiwanese cuisine, our menu features a variety of traditional dishes crafted from fresh, uncomplicated ingredients. Drawing inspiration from Taiwan's vibrant street food scene, we offer a selection of classic favorites like minced pork on rice and thousand-layer pancake, alongside seasonal cold appetizers, soups, and greens.

Embracing our cultural roots, we pay homage to our founder's grandparents by incorporating northern-style Chinese elements into our offerings, such as buns, dumplings, and noodles. The scallion sesame bread, a daily baked staple that accompanies our soups, is a cherished family recipe that reflects our commitment to preserving culinary traditions. Our vision is to create a warm, welcoming space where diverse communities come together to savor the flavors of Taiwan.

Formerly the home of Elsa's Bakery, a beloved local institution, our establishment carries on the legacy by baking Mexican wedding cookies daily in-house. Committed to giving back, we donate all proceeds from cookie sales to community organizations each month. Through our culinary endeavors and community partnerships, we strive to foster a spirit of generosity and positive change in the neighborhood we proudly call home.
