Joseph Chew PT

History

I have my Master's Degree in Physical Therapy and have been working exclusively with the pediatric population since graduating in 2006. I have experience working in an acute hospital setting, rehabilitation centers, school districts, private outpatient clinic, and providing in-home care. I have worked extensively with children between 0 and 22 years of age. At this time, I provide evaluations and ongoing care for clients of the regional centers of California. I will also provide private physical therapy services or consultations upon request.

Specialties

In my years as a pediatric physical therapist, I have learned that the best outcomes for a child are achieved when the parent, guardian, and/or caregiver can themselves provide excellent care and become an effective advocate for their child. I will work with you to make sure that your child achieves the goals that we, as a team, establish for him or her. I have extensive experience with Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) and Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and will provide you with the guidance and knowledge should you need it. Lastly, I believe in a multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of a child. I will work collaboratively with your child's therapy team, medical team, and/or educational team to provide the best possible care so that your child can grow and thrive.
