History

Jim Burke Ford Lincoln was originally established in Bakersfield as Haberfelde Ford. The name was changed to Jim Burke Ford in the early 1970s to reflect new ownership. In 1985 Jim Burke bought Kitchen-Boyd Lincoln Mercury and in 1989 built a new Ford and Lincoln showroom at the Bakersfield Automall. The Automall business continued to grow, and in 2000 the addition of the Jaguar franchise allowed us to expand our luxury car business. Today Jim Burke is one of the largest Ford and Lincoln dealers in California, thanks to a strong adherence to the values of respect, integrity, professionalism and excellence. The company has deep ties to the community, particularly in education and healthcare, and a long tradition of great customer service.
