HistoryEstablished as a non-profit in 1981 by Alan Levin, MFT, who saw a great need to facilitate a deeper connection to the natural world in helping people struggling with addictions. Since then, Holos has built a counseling center upon a model of healing that takes into account one's relationship to their immediate environment, the impact of the place during formative years, and the the possibility of employing nature based techniques in helping people discover a sense of true belonging, ease and purpose in life.SpecialtiesAffordable, quality counseling services with a holistic approach. We offer sliding scale counseling with advanced, post-masters marriage and family counselor interns to individuals, couples, children. Our therapists are highly trained in multiple modalities and meet the client's needs and style. Our offices are spacious and comfortable and... on some occasions, some therapists may be available for outdoor (or nature-based) sessions. We also offer many groups and workshops to the public which center around the theme of eco-psychology which is a way of looking at a person's experience of the environment and the impact it has had on them.
