Fully equipped with flexible lighting and sound and stage features, James R. Armstrong Theatre is a cultural arts center. The theater hosts a variety of professional and community productions, as well as large-scale meetings, social gatherings, business events, film screenings and seminars. It has a lobby area with various amenities, including a curved marble counter for food service with adjacent refrigeration units, restrooms and public telephones. It also has a projection screen and multipurpose audiovisual equipment with cable television linkages to other areas of the center. In addition, it has adjustable acoustical curtains that enhance the quality of spoken and musical sound. With a seating capacity of more than 500 people, James R. Armstrong Theatre maintains a location in Torrance, Calif.
