Flood Mansion, with its Italian Renaissance design, is considered to be one of the most renowned examples of domestic architecture in the United States. The mansion was built in 1912 and remained a private residence until 1939. It was then donated to the Society of the Sacred Heart to house its classrooms and administrative offices. The Society of the Sacred Heart offers single-sex classroom schools throughout Northern California and sponsors hundreds of schools throughout the world. In addition, the mansion s grand hall can be rented for receptions, dinners or gala events. The hall has a capacity of 200 people. Wedding ceremonies can also be held in the mansion s courtyard. Service at these events includes catering and valet parking.
