Jackson Kim, MD

Dr. Neil Gesundheit is a board-certified endocrinologist who trained at Stanford and UCSF in internal medicine and at the National Institutes of Health (NIDDK) in endocrinology and metabolism. He sees hospitalized endocrine patients at Stanford and at the Palo Alto Veterans Administration Hospital. Dr. Gesundheit directs the second-year medical student endocrine physiology module, teaches in the Practice of Medicine course, and has served for 25 years in the Dean's office, most recently as the Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education overseeing implementation of the Discovery Curriculum. Dr. Gesundheit served as the Faculty Lead for the LCME visit of 2022, leading to an 8-year re-accreditation of the School of Medicine.

As a Musculoskeletal Radiologist, I try to identify the cause of one's pain, discomfort, inflammation or other related musculoskeletal symptom(s) using clinical imaging approaches such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography, digital radiography & ultrasound. However, these current approaches have limitations in accurately identify pain generators. Accordingly, my group along with my collaborators have been developing clinical imaging methods that would objectively pinpoint the site of pain generation using novel agents that specifically seek out molecular and cellular pain markers to highlight hypersensitive pain-sensing nerves.

David B. Larson, MD, MBA, is Professor of Radiology (Pediatric Radiology) and Executive Vice Chair in the Department of Radiology at Stanford University. He also serves as the Associate Chief Quality Officer for Improvement for Stanford Health Care, overseeing improvement training programs at SHC. Dr. Larson is a national thought leader in radiology quality improvement and patient safety, and a regular speaker regarding topics ranging from pediatric CT radiation dose optimization to radiology peer learning. He is the founder of Stanford’s Realizing Improvement through Team Empowerment (RITE) program and co-founder of the Clinical Effectiveness Leadership Training (CELT) program, continuing to serve as co-executive director of both programs.
