Rana R. McKay, MD is a highly experienced and board-certified medical oncologist specializing in the treatment of urogenital cancers, including bladder, kidney, prostate, and testicular cancer. With a focus on delivering advanced cancer care through a coordinated team approach, Dr. McKay leads a multi-disciplinary prostate cancer clinic that provides highly specialized care to men diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. She is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine, where she instructs medical students, residents, and fellows. Dr. McKay's research interests include clinical trials, novel biomarkers, and therapeutic outcomes for patients with genitourinary malignancies. Before joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. McKay worked as a medical oncologist at the Dana-Farber Brigham and Women's Cancer Center in Boston and served as an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School. She completed her fellowship in oncology hematology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and her residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. McKay earned her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine.
