Isaac has been performing, producing and recording saxophone professionally for over 20 years. Having settled in beautiful San Diego in recent years, he began establishing his music business (including performing live, music production, recording and teaching lessons) in Southern California-- specifically San Diego-- beginning in 2017.
Recording artist Isaac Edwards, a pro saxophonist whose music has achieved radio and streaming success worldwide, provides saxophone lessons to adults, teens and kids in-home and in his home studio with quality, expert instruction. With beginning students, Isaac teaches basic saxophone technique and fundamentals, sight reading, ear training and theory. As students master the basics and grow more advanced, he focuses on three main areas: tone development, technical facility for improvisation, and the jazz language. He also helps students prepare for auditions, such as high school or college bands, or for work as a professional musician. As a teacher and performer, Isaac is versatile and fluent in a variety of musical styles, including: straight ahead/traditional jazz, funk, pop, R & B, smooth jazz, Gospel, soul, classical, and much more. Isaac is an in-demand performer and is frequently asked to play at special events. Isaac holds a B.A. in Music Performance and an M.A. in Jazz Studies (CSU Long Beach, Bob Cole Conservatory; studied with Eric Marienthal).
