The Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) Duck Club is an historic site originally established in connection with two duck hunting clubs, operational until 1988 when permits were not renewed due to urban development in Irvine. Since IRWD acquired ownership in 1992, the Duck Club has served as a gathering space, retaining its rich history as a communal hub for storytelling and camaraderie among hunters.
Located on land that was once part of the Tustin Marine Base, the Duck Club's Audubon House was formerly a bunkhouse for hunters, providing a rustic setting where visitors can appreciate the legacy of water management and conservation in the region. The site continues to be a prominent community resource, reflecting the intersection of history and environmental stewardship.
