HistoryI began Stanford Prep as the Head of the Social Studies Department, when I saw the need to provide supplemental tutoring for many of my AP students. Not only were many not passing the AP exams, these very intelligent students were performing poorly on the SAT and ACT, and consequently not getting into their top college choices. I quickly found that by applying some of the teaching methods utilized while at Stanford, immediate and significant results followed. Since then we've expanded, serving students from elementary to college. I have also hired four of the strongest educators I had observed, fellow colleagues from Charter High School of the Arts, and from California State University, Northridge.
