History

My name is Allen and I am the CEO of Innovative Landscapes. The idea of starting up a landscape company began in 2000 while I was playing Classical piano in the Gas Lamp professionally. I was just about to end that career and begin something new but wasn't sure what. Then, one night, while playing at the Horton Grand Hotel, I met a gentleman who was a Horticulturist with multiple degrees in Urban Forestry, plant identification, night garden design, Landscaping, Hardscape, irrigation tech II, and many others. When he began telling me the history of the trees and plants being imported from around the world and surviving in one neutral location (Balboa Park) I became intrigued and fascinated. So, I went back to school. Studied Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Plant Identification, Disease Identification and control, Insect ID and control, Disease, pest and insect abatement, weed diagnoses and abatement, etc. and thus, Innovative Landscapes came to fruition.

Patio covers, outdoor living spaces, waterfalls, water features, Pavers, pathways, vehicular, stamped concrete with various finishes, Irrigation installs and repairs, fire rings and pits, outdoor kitchens, landscape lighting, retaining walls, vegetable planters, hot tub installs, and all sorts of landscape designing aspects!
