Indio Community Center

The Indio Community Center & Gymnasium is a recreational facility operated by the Desert Recreation District. The center features large- and small-sized multipurpose rooms with a kitchen, tables and chairs. It also maintains various regulation basketball courts. The Desert Recreation District offers a variety of programs and maintains several community centers, pools, parks and playgrounds. The district s fitness centers feature gymnasiums, fully equipped exercise rooms, racquetball courts, and full-size indoor jogging and walking tracks. It also coordinates swimming classes, as well as provides pool rental services. The Desert Recreation District s park locations include the Coral Mountain Interpretive Center in La Quinta, Skate Park at the Palm Desert Community Center and Canal Regional Park. Additionally, the district organizes a variety of sports clinics, camps and competitions.
