After the birth of my daughter in 1980 a career change was in order as I wanted to be able to spend as much time as possible with her. I decided since I loved travel I would go back to school and in 1985 I became a travel agent. Shortly thereafter my husband was transferred to the California Men's Colony in San Luis Obispo ( as a correctional officer not an inmate ). I was very excited about living in a coastal community as I had loved going to the sunny beaches of southern California having lived most of my adult life in Cucamonga ( yes there was such a place, now known as Rancho Cucamonga ). We settled in Morro Bay, after my first summer here I realized this wasn't like the sunny beaches of southern California, fog and overcast skies was the norm for summer. Well 20 years later we are still here and we call this area home.
