Hummingbird Healing Center

City Ambulance of Eureka has been providing ambulance service to Humboldt County, Calif., for more than 25 years. The center handles all types of transportation, including emergency and nonemergency medical transportation, taxicab, dial-a-ride, and courier services. It has a 24-hour communications center from where it dispatches ambulances, burglary, panic and fire alarms. City Ambulance of Eureka has more than 80 employees. It also offers shuttle service and wheelchair and gurney transportation, and its vans are staffed by paramedics with emergency medical equipment. The center also provides cardiopulmonary resuscitation classes for businesses and organizations, supervised by certified nurses and paramedics. It also offers an explorer program that is sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America, and introduces young adults to the ambulance profession. After initial training, students are permitted to ride on the ambulance and get hands-on training. City Ambulance of Eureka is located in Eureka, Calif.
