The Jefferson Community Center and Park, a project of the Westside Community Improvement Association (WCIA), is dedicated to revitalizing neighborhoods in Eureka, CA, by enhancing recreational, educational, and vocational opportunities for the community. Since its transformation from the old Jefferson Elementary School, it has become a hub for diverse activities ranging from gardening to dance, encouraging community engagement and personal development. Additionally, the center offers a USDA Summer Food Service Program that provides free meals to children aged 18 and under, ensuring that nutrition and enrichment programs are accessible to the youth in the area.
