History

Humble Design is a Detroit-based volunteer organization started by Treger Strasberg in 2009. Using donations from local residents, Strasberg and her staff and volunteers go into bare spaces and furnish homes for families transitioning out of homelessness.

Humble Design is a nonprofit that serves families and veterans emerging from homelessness by transforming an empty house or apartment into a home--a very simple idea that can change a family's future. We turn dwellings into dignified and welcoming homes. We are not just furnishing homes, we are furnishing hope.
