Opening weekend was great! Awesome vibe, great food, and good service. Prunes in bacon and brussels sprouts were very good, but my favorite was the Leger Burger with Brie and caramelized onions....

Housed in a California state registered historic landmark (Calaveras County Courthouse and Leger Hotel), The Hotel Leger Restaurant & Saloon conveys the spirit of the Gold Rush days. Fine and casual dining available 6 days a week in our rustic stone-walled dining rooms dating back to the late 1800s. Choose from a variety of unique and delicious dishes artfully prepared by our talented kitchen staff. Breakfast Friday-Sunday from 8am-Noon, and Lunch Thursdays-Sundays Noon to 5pm. Dinner served from 5pm nightly except Tuesdays - Saloon is open til 10:30pm Sun, Mon, Wed & Thu, 12:30am on Fri & Sat. Choose from a classic dish or comfort food, or one of our Chef's creative Daily Specials. A limited late night small bites menu is available Fridays and Saturdays until 10:30pm. Our full service Saloon offers all of your favorite classic cocktails as well as a variety of house specialties along with an extensive selection of beers on tap and in bottles, and a great sampling of wines from our local and regional wineries.Enjoy dining with your well-behaved pet in our Saloon.

Wonderful meals for my family of 4. Meatloaf, burger, fish and chips were all very tasty. Great bar and very friendly server. Would highly recommend!

I hesitate to write this because I'm a strong supporter of small businesses, especially in our beautiful Gold Country. However, I feel this is a health and safety issue, therefore a duty to share....

Great cocktails, great service, THE BEST fish and chips, and all at really affordable prices. We live about 1 1/2 hours away but we will definitely be back. Go here if you're in Mokelumne Hill!...
