Hospice of Amador & Calaveras

Founded in 1982, Hospice of Amador and Calaveras provides treatment and care for the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of terminally ill patients. It is an independent, nonprofit health care provider located in Jackson, Calif. The center serves patients in homes and skilled nursing facilities. Hospice of Amador and Calaveras receives financial support from Medicare, health maintenance organizations and private insurance providers. It provides regular visits from nurses, home health aides and other hospice staff. The center specializes in pain relief, symptom management, and personal and respite care, as well as 24-hour personal assistance services. Hospice of Amador and Calaveras additionally offers a 13-month grief support program.
