Hope & Grace Wines

hope & grace is a personal project that began with the unexpected opportunity to purchase Pinot Noir grapes from the renowned, Robert Talbott, Sleepy Hollow Vineyards, back in 2001. Having to move quickly to secure these amazing grapes, Charles needed a place to crush and store his new found fortune, and his friend Jim Regusci graciously lent a hand in getting started. Realizing that this was really happening, Charles was in search of a label and a name he thought of two attributes that he has in life, his daughters, Hope & Grace Hendricks. Charles has had "Figure in Red" displayed in his private collection for the past 20 years, which he acquired by chance from the legendary Restaurateur Modesto Lanzone in San Francisco in the early 1990's. In search of a label design, he felt this would be the perfect painting for the hope & grace label, to provoke emotion, opinion and conversation Just as art and wine should, and it has. "Figure in Red" was painted by Artist Charles Eckart in the early eighties. Charles Eckart, was contemporary of Manuel Neri Nathan Oliveira of the San Francisco Bay Area Figurative movement. Today, our production has grown to approximately 2, 000 cases, and our portfolio has evolved to include Chardonnay, Pinot Noirs, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignons and a tasting room. For guests that visit our hope & grace Tasting Salon in the town of Yountville, Napa Valley we offer additional extremely limited production wines.
