Hope Christian Fellowship

HOPE Christian Fellowship, a 13-year old, non-denominational evangelical church, is seeking a Lead Pastor. Our former and founding pastor, who is loved and appreciated by the congregation, was led to a new ministry and has left on good terms. HOPE is strategically situated in the city of San Gabriel, in Los Angeles County. We are a 200+, multi-cultural, family-oriented congregation, reflecting the ethnic, educational and socioeconomic diversity of our Southern California community ( the largest ethnic groups being Caucasian, Asian, Asian American and Hispanic ). The church currently operates with a dedicated pastoral staff in areas of youth, worship, prayer and cell life, and children's ministries. HOPE has strong children's and youth ministries, aimed at empowering our young people to love and serve God. The church is a cell-based church, with more than half of our attenders in cell groups, led mostly by lay leadership. Cell groups are considered integral to the life of our church as a primary means through which member care, discipleship, outreach, church growth and leadership development take place. Sunday worship services are characterized by an informal, welcoming, and spiritually vibrant atmosphere, a contemporary worship style, meaningful prayer and relevant, Biblically-based teaching and preaching. Members actively serve within the church as well as in the wider community, and are committed to missions, both locally and globally. We value dependence on the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to heal and transform lives. The church is guided by the Lead Pastor, who is supervised by a leadership board made up of both men and women. We empower both men and women to serve at all levels of leadership. The church owns its building and has no mortgage. We are in the process of considering possible denominational affiliation.
