The Hollywood Food Coalition (HoFoCo) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to nourishing the community by rescuing and redistributing food while uniting efforts to achieve food equity in Los Angeles. Since its founding in 1987, it has provided over 90,000 nutritious meals annually to low-income and food-insecure individuals, along with critical support services to those in need.
In addition to its nightly Community Dinner, HoFoCo operates a Community Exchange that distributes over two million pounds of food to various nonprofit partners and offers wellness initiatives to address individual needs. Through compassionate engagement and by maintaining high standards of service, the organization fosters trust and builds a supportive network for the most vulnerable populations in the area.
