Historic Peralta House, designated as California Historical Landmark number 285, is also known as the Ignacio Peralta home, built in 1860. The house, which was the residence of the Peralta family until 1875, was acquired by the Alta Mira Club in 1926, who have since preserved it and opened it for educational programs and private events.
The Alta Mira Club's stewardship of the historic property has allowed visitors to experience the rich history of the Peralta family and the heritage of the San Leandro area.
