10 years ago Hillside Gardens was a hotel when it was purchased and turned into this wonderful, serene, small complex of 26 units. Each apartment has been remodeled and no 2 are alike, creating a unique and charming atmosphere. The lot is beautifully landscaped and everything is well maintained. The property manager lives on site.

We provide clean, quiet, secure, safe, well maintained apartments with all utilities provided in the rent including gas, electric, water, trash, sewer, high speed internet, extended basic cable, and wi-fi. You pay the rent & we do the rest, no turning services on and off and deposit hassles! All our apartments come with gas stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, fans, central heat, plenty of electrical, ethernet, and cable outlets, and sound-boarded walls. We are less than a mile from 2 BART stations, El Cerrito Plaza, and the freeway entrances to 580 & 80. Safeway and CVS are across the street from us as well as numerous restaurants and other stores. The rapid bus to UC Berkeley stops across the street and takes 30 minutes to the campus. We rent to students and work with financial aid.
